Fake PHS email with attached document virus

Quite professional and convincing-looking (and sounding) email supposedly from PHS, with an attched virus in a Word Doc. First seen 26/10/15.

Its impact may be mitigated somewhat by it including non-working images.

It purports to come from documents@phsonline.co.uk and reads as follows:

Delivery of new PHS document(s)

Dear Customer

Due to a temporary issue with delivering your document(s) via your online account, please find the attached in DOC format for your convenience.

JP Morgan Chase fake email with virus

Watch out for this fake email, supposedly from a Jonathan J Hanrahan of JP Morgan Chase. First seen 21/10/15.

Content reads as follows:

This is a secure, encrypted message.
Desktop Users: Open the attachment (Secure Message.doc) and follow the instructions.
Mobile Users: Voltage secure mail is not currently supported on mobile devices. If you experience issues, please access your secure message from a fully functional browser.

Complete with attached virus in a Word doc.

Fake Ocado delivery receipt email with Word doc virus

Fairly convincing-looking scam Ocado receipt email with attached document containing a virus. First received 19/10/15. The text of the email reads as follows:

Hello
Your receipt for today’s delivery is attached to this email.
I’ll be delivering your 12:00-14:00 order and, so you’ll know it’s me, I’ll be driving the Lemon van.
Your order doesn’t have any substitutions, everything’s there.
